Fixing bad translations from Japanese to English
If you have translated using an online translator, or are not confident that a piece of text is grammatically correct, use the template
{{proofread}}
or
{{All your base are belong to us}}
to mark a text for proofing.
  • We please ask you to update the text when a new, official version comes out from J Novels Club.
  • or, to translate the text yourself if you speak Japanese and English.

You can find a list of pages with SPaG issues/bad translations at Category:Pages requiring proofing

Maintenance

Frequent Maintenance actions.

  • Monthly: Broken redirects: these pages are redirects but they do not link to an existing page. Either create a new page or link to the correct one.
  • Monthly: Double redirects: this page lists pages that redirect to other redirect pages. Follow the instructions as on the page.
  • Monthly: Wanted Categories: pages that link to categories which are not populated. Fix by adding some pages to the correct category, or, remove references to the category and replace with the correct one.
  • Monthly: Wanted Files: pages that link to files (images, videos) which do not exist. Check the page to see if the wanted file may already exist, and link accordingly. If it doesn't exist, try to find it and upload to the site. If you still cannot find it, make a post in Forums so that someone can find and upload it.
  • Monthly: Wanted Pages: pages that link to pages which do not exist. Check to see if the wanted page may already exist, and redirect accordingly. If it doesn't exist, create a page and mark it as a stub. If it is an episode page, double check to see if a page already exists under a different name, and redirect.
  • Monthly: Wanted Templates: this should be handled by users who are confident in their coding ability. In most cases, this is just a misspelling of a template. Alert the page editors in their message pages before changing anything.
