Akiteru Ōboshi (大星 明照, Ōboshi Akiteru) is the deuteragonist in the series My Friend's Little Sister Has It In for Me!. He is a second-year high school student who efficiently passes through his youth, and though he calls himself an average high school student in every aspect, he has a hidden side to him: he is a game developer!

Iroha Kohinata[]
To Aki, Iroha is a constant source of annoyance. Because she always intrudes in his personal space. Such as when Aki went back home to see that Iroha is already lying on his bed, she even changed in there once. This is because Iroha likes Aki, and wants his attention. He does not see her in a romantic light at all because to him, she is just a source of neverending annoyance.
However, this all changed when Iroha impersonated Sumire in the Ceremony of Knots. Aki and Iroha ended up in what amounted to a love hotel inside a shrine, there Iroha said that she liked Aki. Aki brushed it off immediately, thinking if he gave a serious answer she'd play it off immediately. But, when Aki looked at her she was completely red, and serious. Aki eventually pushed Iroha off himself, and said that he can't do anything because he needs to keep up appearances as Mashiro's fake boyfriend so he can work for his Uncle's company.
This event in the love hotel was what caused Aki to be more aware of his feelings for Iroha. From this point onwards, whenever Iroha was annoying he found it cute, as her being annoying is part of her charm. He also starts to get flustered easily when Iroha starts to cling, or act extremely close to him.
Mashiro Tsukinomori[]
Mashiro, and Aki are childhood friends. But as they grew older they met less and less frequently eventually falling out of contact. The pair met again when Aki walked in on her in the bathroom, and Aki saw her panties. Which cause Mashiro to understandably act cold towards him. Mashiro's dad told Aki to be her fake boyfriend, in order to prevent the riff-raff from getting to Mashiro. As one of his conditions for working in his company, Honeyplace Works.
Even during school Mashiro acted cold towards Aki. When Aki tried to reach out to Mashiro to try and have a decent conversation she ran from him. Mashiro was tricked by Aki into joining a welcome party, because she was reluctant to join as she was afraid of Aki's friends due to her past trauma of being bullied in her previous school. As the party went on she opened up to everyone. At the end of the same night, Mashiro confessed to Aki over LIME. After her confession she started to be more proactive in her advances towards Aki.
The next day Aki, Mashiro, and Iroha all went to the mall together to watch movies. Iroha immediately clung to his arm, and not wanting to "lose" to her, Mashiro clung to Aki's other free arm. There Mashiro encountered bullies from her previous school while they were having lunch (Iroha wasn't present because she was in the bathroom). The girls teased, and picked on Mashiro. Aki then stood up for her, and was infuriated at what the girls are saying and succeeded in chasing them off. Mashiro ran like the wind, and disappeared some where. Iroha, and Aki worked together to try and find where she was, and after some time he figured out where she was. Aki invited Mashiro out to a fancy diner to give her an answer on her confession, when he was about to give an answer Mashiro stopped him. Mashiro then told Aki that she would work even harder to make him fall for her.
Later when Aki seriously considered marrying Sumire, because Sumire's family wanted to force her into marriage with another guy. Sumire asked Aki to be her pretend fiance. When Aki started to seriously consider the pros and cons of marrying Sumire, Mashiro got extremely worried. They both later met at Sumire's home town, where she learnt that Iroha clung to Aki's arm when they slept, which caused her to become extremely angry and jealous. Later when they went to Canary's mansion to enjoy the private beach that was attached to it, Aki got an image of Mashiro in her swimsuit, reason being Mashiro didn't want to lose to Iroha, because Iroha also sent an image of herself in her own swimsuit earlier in the day.

- The name Akiteru means "bright light" (明照).
- Akiteru's surname Ōboshi means "big star" (大星).
